Hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows for one daughter with a bacon baguette and toasted tea cake and apple juice for the other. My husband had a full English and I had a small English. Service was great, food was delicious and the views were fantastic. This was the view in front of us - we were sat by the window!
After eating and enjoying the visitor centre we went for a walk up and over the bank to see the sea.
The visitor centre is now run by the Dorset Wildlife Trust and has a number of interactive activities within it and of course the obligatory shop. It is well worth a visit.
Parking was 80p an hour - not sure if that's winter prices or all year round. Seemed very popular with families, dog walkers, fisherfamilies (as opposed to fishermen!) and bird watchers.
